The Boston Bruins officially named winger David Pastrnak the 28th captain in franchise history on Sunday, confirming prior rumors. The team announced the decision via social media, with a formal press conference scheduled for later in the day.
Pastrnak, 30, was drafted 25th overall by Boston in 2014 and has recorded 420 goals and 933 points across 833 career regular-season games with the club. Last season, the Czech native tallied 29 goals and 100 points for the Bruins.
