Alex Bregman went 4-for-4 with two home runs and four RBI to lead the Chicago Cubs to a 6-2 regular-season finale victory over the Boston Red Sox at Tropicana Field. The win clinched a Wild Card berth for the Cubs, who concluded the regular season with an 89-73 record and will travel to face San Diego.

Bregman hit a two-run homer in the first inning and added a solo shot in the third off Boston starter Tanner Houck. Pitcher Braxton Garrett earned the win after throwing five innings in relief of Shota Imanaga, while Colin Rea secured a two-inning save to seal the victory.
