The Wallabies withstood a chaotic late stretch where they received four yellow cards between the 68th and 75th minutes. Harry Wilson, Ryan Lonergan, Joseph-Aukuso Suaalii, and Hunter Paisami were all sent to the sin bin, temporarily leaving Australia with just 11 players on the field against South Africa's 15.
