Ex-Town defender who lifted the FA Youth Cup departs his coaching role with Blues

Former Ipswich Town defender and academy coach Chris Casement has officially departed the club. Casement, who announced his exit on LinkedIn, completed a combined 12-year stint at Ipswich as both a player and coach before deciding to seek his next career chapter.

During his coaching return, which began in 2021, Casement served as loans manager and worked across various academy levels, including coaching the U21s alongside John McGreal before finishing as the lead coach for the U16s. As a former player, he made 14 senior appearances for the Blues and won the FA Youth Cup in 2005.
