Tottenham midfielder Sandro Tonali has provided a positive fitness update ahead of Italy’s game against Turkiye in the UEFA Nations League.
Sandro Tonali confirmed that he has fully recovered from a recent knock while away on international duty with the Italian national team. The 26-year-old midfielder, who joined Tottenham Hotspur from Newcastle United on a £100 million permanent transfer, stated that his discomfort has resolved and he is physically at 100 percent ahead of Italy's UEFA Nations League match against Turkey.
Tonali has started all five Premier League matches for Tottenham this season, though manager Roberto De Zerbi previously noted the player was lacking full fitness. Tottenham currently sits at the bottom of the table following a 3-2 defeat to Aston Villa, placing pressure on Tonali to perform once domestic action resumes.
