Ellis and Davies out of the South Africa tour with injury

Australia's Nathan Ellis and Joel Davies have been ruled out of the remainder of the tour against South Africa due to injuries. Ellis suffered a left side strain after bowling four overs in the second ODI in Johannesburg, while Davies sustained a hamstring strain while fielding as a substitute. Both players will return home to undergo assessment and rehabilitation, with no replacements named for the final match in Potchefstroom.

Ellis aims to recover in time for the home series against England starting November 13. Australia currently has four fit fast bowlers available, with Pat Cummins and Mitchell Starc expected to return for the third ODI. Additionally, changes were announced for the Australia A tour of India, with Brendan Doggett, Fergus O'Neill, and Campbell Kellaway returning home ahead of the Sheffield Shield.
