Nedeljkovic on How Sharks Improve Team Defense, Askarov’s Growth, Warsofsky’s Extension

San Jose Sharks goaltender Alex Nedeljkovic spoke with media at training camp ahead of his second season with the team. The veteran netminder addressed his summer, his development, and how defensive additions can improve the roster after San Jose narrowly missed the playoffs last season. Nedeljkovic previously signed a two-year, $6 million contract extension in March following a 40-game campaign where he posted a .896 save percentage.

General manager Mike Grier added defensemen Darnell Nurse, Jacob Trouba, and Michael Kesselring to bolster the defensive group. Nedeljkovic noted that improving team defense requires collective commitment and praised the size and stability of the revamped blue line alongside teammates Dmitry Orlov and Sam Dickinson.
