Mooney, King steer WA to bonus-point win over Tasmania

Beth Mooney and Alana King led Western Australia to a bonus-point four-wicket victory against Tasmania in their Women's National Cricket League opener at the WACA Ground. Tasmania was bowled out for 232 in 45 overs, despite a half-century from Lizelle Lee and a fighting 79 by Tabatha Saville, with WA debutant Ruby Strange taking 5-49.

Western Australia slumped to 3-20 and later 6-128 during their chase before King struck an unbeaten 55 to support Mooney's century. Overcoming an earlier wrist injury, King partnered with Mooney to help WA reach their target comfortably in 35.2 overs.
