‘Shackles are off’ – Coventry City star doubles down as players out to prove they belong in Prem

Carl Rushworth says Coventry City's players are ready to prove they belong in the Premier League after securing their first win of the season. The 25-year-old goalkeeper assisted Jay Dasilva's winning strike in a 1-0 victory over Nottingham Forest at the City Ground. Rushworth stated that securing their first victory felt as though the shackles have been taken off.

The Sky Blues had conceded ten goals across their opening four league matches, including five against Brighton. Coventry's defense held firm against Forest with Steph Mfuni making his debut and Caleb Yirenkyi playing out of position. The club next hosts Newcastle United at the CBS Arena on Monday, October 12.
