Marsee to visit specialist for left elbow discomfort

Miami Marlins center fielder Jakob Marsee will visit Dr. Keith Meister after experiencing left elbow discomfort near the end of the season. Marlins president of baseball operations Peter Bendix announced the evaluation on Tuesday morning, noting that more information on Marsee's status will be available soon.

Marsee avoided the injured list and appeared in all but seven games during his first full MLB campaign in 2026. The 25-year-old hit .231 with 11 home runs and 23 stolen bases while accumulating 2.5 fWAR. If Marsee is sidelined, Miami's internal center field options include Esteury Ruiz, Javier Sanoja, and prospect Cam Cannarella.
