Miami Marlins president of baseball operations Peter Bendix announced that hitting coach Pedro Guerrero will not return to the club next season. Bendix praised Guerrero's contributions but stated that the team decided it was time for a new voice in the hitting department. The rest of the Marlins' coaching staff is expected to return.
Guerrero joined the Marlins prior to the 2025 season after previously serving as an assistant hitting coach for the Philadelphia Phillies and San Francisco Giants. Miami's hitters produced a .250/.314/.393 slash line and a 96 wRC+ in 2025 before posting a .249/.326/.400 slash line with a 100 wRC+ in 2026.
