Blue Jays officially sign Korean pitching prospect Kwon Si-Woo

The Toronto Blue Jays have officially signed 18-year-old South Korean right-handed pitching prospect Kwon Si-Woo. Kwon agreed to an international free-agent deal featuring a $330,000 signing bonus, which makes him the highest-bonus pitcher signed by the Blue Jays during the current 2025-26 international signing period.

The 6-foot-1 pitcher features a fastball that reaches 93 mph alongside a slider and curveball. The signing continues Toronto's push into the Pacific Rim market under team president Mark Shapiro, following prior acquisitions of players from Korea and Japan.
