The Vegas Golden Knights have signed veteran forward William Karlsson to a two-year contract extension worth $13.5 million. The deal carries an average annual value of $6.75 million and keeps Karlsson under contract with the team through the summer of 2029.
Karlsson is an original member of the franchise from its inaugural 2017-18 season, during which he scored a career-high 43 goals. After an injury-shortened campaign where he was limited to 14 games, Karlsson enters the season fully healthy to provide veteran leadership for Vegas.
