Callum Slattery is a player who has already struck a chord with Sheffield Wednesday supporters. Alex Miller spoke to him in his first in-depth interview as an Owls player.
Sheffield Wednesday midfielder Callum Slattery addressed the club's ambitions in an interview with The Star, confirming that promotion back to the Championship is the ultimate target. Despite a hurried summer rebuild involving 18 senior additions, the Owls currently sit second in League One after losing just one of their opening seven league fixtures.
While pleased with results, Slattery acknowledged the team has higher standards for their performances as the newly assembled squad gels. Manager Henrik Pedersen has emphasized using fixture-free weeks to refine the team's playing identity ahead of an upcoming league clash against Huddersfield Town.
