The Vegas Golden Knights have made things wilder in the ''Wild West'' by signing William Karlsson to a two-year, $13.5 million contract extension.
The Vegas Golden Knights have signed veteran center William Karlsson to a two-year, $13.5 million contract extension. The deal features an average annual value of $6.75 million and will begin in the 2027-28 season, locking up the 33-year-old ahead of his potential unrestricted free agency.
Karlsson was limited to 14 regular-season games last year due to a lower-body injury before returning to post nine points in 15 postseason games during the team's run to the 2026 Stanley Cup Final. An original member of the franchise, Karlsson ranks second in Golden Knights history with 165 goals and 403 points.
