J.J. McCarthy compromising his “9” identity for No. 18 with Giants draws wife Katya’s reaction

Quarterback J.J. McCarthy made his first appearance on the practice field with the New York Giants on Wednesday. The practice session also marked the debut of McCarthy wearing jersey number 18 instead of his usual number 9 identity as he began learning the team's offense.

The jersey change drew a reaction from McCarthy's wife, Katya, as the quarterback transitioned to his new number with the franchise. McCarthy participated in team drills while acclimating to the new offensive scheme.
