Newcastle United teenager Ousmane Diabaté started and played the full match for Guinea in an important AFCON group qualifier victory against Kenya. The 19-year-old midfielder impressed throughout the contest, with Guirassy scoring the game's only goal in the 32nd minute to secure the win.
Diabaté was signed by Newcastle United at age 18 before being loaned back to Turkish Super Lig club Gençlerbirliği for the season to gain regular first-team experience. His performance against Kenya followed an appearance as a second-half substitute in Guinea's 2-1 defeat to South Africa.
