Logan Mailloux (hand surgery, ~8 weeks) and Tyler Tucker (knee) open the season on IR. The Blues claimed Justin Barron, recalled Adam Jiricek, and set their 2026-27 opening-night roster ahead of Friday’s game at Dallas.

The St. Louis Blues announced several major roster updates ahead of their season opener against the Dallas Stars. Defensemen Logan Mailloux and Tyler Tucker have both been placed on injured reserve following surgeries on Mailloux's right hand and Tucker's right knee. To address the blue-line absences, St. Louis claimed defenseman Justin Barron off waivers from the Nashville Predators and recalled 2024 first-round pick Adam Jiricek from the Springfield Thunderbirds.
Jiricek is expected to make his NHL debut on Friday, while Zach Dean and Dillon Dube earned the team's final open forward spots. Goaltender Georgii Romanov, defenseman Calle Rosen, and forwards Oskar Sundqvist, Nathan Walker, and Jack Finley were all assigned to Springfield after clearing waivers. The Blues also announced that forward Robert Thomas has been named the team's newest captain.
