Damon Hill knows Adrian Newey better than most given their time working together at Williams. In 2026, Adrian Newey now finds himself at Aston Martin…

Former Formula 1 world champion Damon Hill defended Adrian Newey on the F1 Nation podcast against suggestions that Red Bull's historic success was not solely Newey's doing. Hill noted that despite critics, Newey has consistently produced winning cars everywhere he has worked, calling him the most competitive person he has encountered.
Newey is currently facing scrutiny following an underwhelming season at Aston Martin, where he serves as team principal, technical director, and co-owner. Hill also expressed confidence that engine partner Honda can resolve its performance deficit if provided clear guidance by the team.
