Troy Parrott scored twice but the Republic of Ireland were forced to settle for a 2-2 draw after Austria came back in the second half of their Nations League encounter at the Aviva Stadium in Dublin.

The Republic of Ireland squandered a two-goal lead to draw 2-2 with Austria in their UEFA Nations League Group B3 encounter at the Aviva Stadium. Troy Parrott scored a superb 12th-minute opener before converting a penalty right before halftime to put Ireland firmly in control. However, second-half goals from Austrian substitutes Alexander Prass and Michael Gregoritsch leveled the match.
The first half was disrupted by two separate protests supporting Palestine, including thrown tennis balls and a pitch invader carrying a flag. The result leaves Heimir Hallgrimsson's Ireland side in third place in their group at the halfway mark.
