“Sounds Like Excuse”: NBA Analyst Calls Out Joel Embiid for His Admission on 76ers Roster

SiriusXM analyst Justin Termine criticized Joel Embiid after the Philadelphia 76ers center urged patience regarding team chemistry ahead of the season. In an interview with ESPN's Malika Andrews, Embiid noted the difficulty of instantly building chemistry to win a championship. Termine responded on social media, accusing Embiid of making excuses despite being surrounded by elite talent.

Philadelphia's upgraded roster includes LeBron James, Jaylen Brown, Tyrese Maxey, and V.J. Edgecombe alongside Embiid. While Termine argued that no excuses should be allowed for such a stacked team, Embiid emphasized that integrating new pieces takes time and highlighted the importance of balancing veteran leadership with youth.
