The former midfielder spent two-and-a-half years at Birmingham City and he is now manager at Peterborough United

Robbie Savage has secured his first EFL managerial post after signing a long-term contract with League One club Peterborough United. The former Birmingham City midfielder moves from National League club Forest Green Rovers, having previously guided Macclesfield to promotion before leading Rovers to the play-offs last season. Savage acknowledged there may be reservations regarding his appointment.
Savage stated that he aims to protect his players from outside scrutiny and emphasized his preference for entertaining, attacking football. He highlighted his desire to work with young talent and play an aggressive style rather than focusing on defensive possession. His first fixture in charge will be against Ipswich Town Under-21s in the Jersey Mike's Trophy at Weston Homes Stadium.
