Bradford Bulls CEO Jason Hirst has revealed that the club will not be altering the pitch dimensions at Odsal Stadium, confirming that the “seven-figure” cost would directly undermine their playing budget. The famous West Yorkshire venue has long drawn complaints…

Bradford Bulls CEO Jason Hirst announced that the club will not alter the pitch dimensions at Odsal Stadium ahead of next season. Hirst revealed that quotes for widening and lengthening the pitch reached seven figures, a cost the club could not justify spending instead of funding the playing squad.
Hirst noted the pitch meets RFL requirements aside from a shortened dead-ball area covered by special dispensation. He explained that spending a million pounds on ground renovations would have prevented key signings such as James Bentley and Ligi Sao.
