The Story in 60 Seconds

Celtic winger Jota is scheduled to play in a behind-closed-doors friendly against Falkirk on Friday at Lennoxtown, marking his first match action in approximately 18 months. The Portuguese star suffered a ruptured ACL against Dundee United in April 2025 and returned to training in early September to build up his fitness.

According to The Scottish Sun, successfully coming through the friendly would put Jota on course for a competitive return around the end of October. His return, alongside the expected post-international break comeback of Yang Hyun-jun, will provide manager options out wide while Sebastian Tounekti looks to improve his recent form.
