Dan Friedkin was pictured with Tommy Fleetwood at St Andrews, sparking strong reactions from Everton fans aware he has yet to attend a game.

Everton chairman Dan Friedkin was photographed golfing with his son Ryan and Open champion Tommy Fleetwood at The Old Course in St Andrews ahead of the Alfred Dunhill Links Championship. The picture quickly circulated among Everton supporters, reigniting frustration regarding Friedkin's ongoing absence from matchdays at Hill Dickinson Stadium since The Friedkin Group took over the club in December 2024.
Everton manager David Moyes has previously revealed that he has never met or spoken to Friedkin. Fan dissatisfaction has also been fueled by a summer transfer window in which Everton raised over £100m through sales including Iliman Ndiaye and Beto, while spending just £4m on Ainsley Maitland-Niles.
