Everton left-back Vitaliy Mykolenko has withdrawn from the Ukraine national team camp due to an injury and returned to his club for recovery. Ukraine manager Andrea Maldera announced that the defender would not feature against Northern Ireland to avoid worsening the issue, with the Ukrainian football association subsequently confirming his departure.
Mykolenko has played every minute in the Premier League and EFL Cup for Everton this season, playing a crucial role in the squad's joint-best defensive record. With manager David Moyes lacking another recognized left-back, his fitness is a major concern ahead of the upcoming clash against Hull City on October 11.
