Minnesota Twins outfielder Byron Buxton is progressing well following September hip surgery and is on track to be healthy for the 2027 season. Twins general manager Jeremy Zoll reiterated that the front office has no plans to trade the All-Star outfielder, emphasizing that both the club and Buxton are committed to their future together.
Buxton underwent arthroscopic right hip surgery on September 18 after battling recurring hip injuries throughout 2026. Despite being limited to 93 games, he hit 25 home runs and earned an All-Star selection. He has two years and $30 million remaining on his contract, with limited no-trade protection covering five teams.
