Steelers Host Former Bengals Edge Rusher for Visit

The Pittsburgh Steelers hosted veteran edge rusher Cam Sample for a free agent visit at the UPMC Rooney Sports Complex on Friday, according to the NFL transaction page. The 27-year-old spent five seasons with the Cincinnati Bengals from 2021 to 2025 before spending time with the San Francisco 49ers and Atlanta Falcons during the offseason.

Sample has recorded 85 tackles and seven sacks across 61 career NFL games, though he missed the entire 2024 campaign due to a torn Achilles. Alongside Sample's visit, Pittsburgh also conducted tryouts for several other positions on Friday, including offensive linemen, linebackers, a running back, and a cornerback.
