The midfielder is a big favourite of the Albion boss, who pushed hard for the club to win the battle for his signature late in the transfer window.
West Bromwich Albion midfielder Toby Collyer revealed that manager James Morrison began pursuing his permanent signing back in March. Morrison told Collyer after a match between West Brom and Hull City that he would target him if appointed permanently. The 22-year-old subsequently completed an initial £3 million permanent transfer from Manchester United late in the summer window.
Collyer chose Albion over interest from Hull City, citing Morrison's persistent backing and believing The Hawthorns offered the ideal environment for his development. Despite an injury-hit loan spell last season where he made only 12 appearances for Albion, Collyer is now settled and anticipated to play a significant role going forward.
