A former Baggies youngster has made her debut for Manchester United.

Former West Bromwich Albion Women prospect Lucy Newell has made her senior debut for Manchester United. The 19-year-old central defender came on as a substitute during the final 15 minutes of United's 5-1 League Cup victory against Durham on Wednesday night.
Newell originally joined West Brom at age nine before moving to Manchester United in the summer of 2024. The Shrewsbury native and England youth international previously gained senior experience during loan spells at Blackburn Rovers, Birmingham City, and Crystal Palace.
