The Premier League has confirmed Manchester City are guilty of financial wrongdoings and Tottenham were one of the sides most impacted by the duplicity

Football London's Ben Crawford argues that Tottenham Hotspur were among the clubs most heavily affected by Manchester City's financial breaches between 2009 and 2018. Following the Premier League's confirmation that City broke financial rules, Crawford's analysis suggests Spurs hypothetically missed out on up to £126 million by being denied Champions League qualification or higher league finishes across multiple campaigns.
The retrospective analysis highlights four specific seasons—2010/11, 2011/12, 2012/13, and 2014/15—where Spurs would have qualified for Champions League football had City's results been expunged. Crawford also notes that consistently securing elite European competition might have prevented key departures, such as Luka Modric and Gareth Bale moving to Real Madrid.
