The midfielder hurt his knee before the international break and missed out on the Tangerines trip to Portugal for a training camp

Dundee United midfielder Emmanuel Agyei will not require surgery after scans revealed his knee injury is not as severe as initially feared. Manager Jim Goodwin confirmed that while the Ghanaian's leg is currently in a brace, his absence is expected to be weeks rather than months. Agyei missed the club's training camp in Portugal but will begin his rehabilitation program at St Andrews on Monday.
Goodwin also provided an update on winger Mehdi Merghem, who traveled to Portugal while managing a minor knee issue and is expected back within two weeks. Meanwhile, Dundee United players away on international duty, including Zidane Iqbal, Iurie Iovu, and Pan Camara, have reported no injury concerns so far.
