Aston Villa reportedly face competition from Tottenham Hotspur and AC Milan to sign Bayern Munich defender Kim Min-jae. Reports indicate that a £30 million permanent transfer fee could secure the South Korea international next summer, although nothing is currently advanced. Both Premier League clubs previously made contact during the summer without submitting formal offers, and a transfer appears more realistic for next summer rather than the upcoming January window.
Bayern Munich would require a replacement before considering any departure for the center-back, whose contract runs until 2028. Additionally, Kim reportedly turned down interest from Villa during the summer and remains comfortable in Munich without pushing to leave. Meanwhile, Villa manager Unai Emery received an immediate defensive boost as Pau Torres returned to action during a friendly against Sevilla.
