The Florida Panthers have recalled forward Sam Lafferty and defenseman Alexander Petrovic ahead of their upcoming game against the Anaheim Ducks. The moves were announced after captain Aleksander Barkov was placed on long-term injured reserve earlier in the afternoon.
Lafferty joined the Panthers during the offseason on a one-year, two-way contract worth $850,000 at the NHL level to provide bottom-six forward depth. Petrovic, who originally spent over six seasons with Florida after being drafted in 2010, returned to the franchise on a two-year, $1.75 million contract signed in July 2026.
