Trainers and father-son duo Gary and Phil Capuano each won a 2-year-old stake Saturday, Gary at Delaware and Phil at Laurel.

The Capuano family earned a two-track juvenile stakes double on Saturday, led by trainer Gary Capuano and his son Phil Capuano. Gary Capuano trained Whitten Way to a 1½-length victory in the $160,000 White Clay Creek Stakes at Delaware Park under jockey Emanuel Rosario. At Laurel Park, Phil Capuano captured the $100,000 James F. Lewis, III with Walt’s Notion, who prevailed by 1¼ lengths under Mychel Sanchez.
Saturday's juvenile action also featured stakes victories from two unbeaten horses. At Laurel, the Brittany Russell-trained filly Piggybunz won the $100,000 Smart Halo by a nose under Sheldon Russell. Meanwhile, at Delaware Park, Full Access claimed the $150,000 Rocky Run Stakes by three lengths for trainer Riley Mott and jockey Jaime Torres.
