Los Angeles Dodgers manager Dave Roberts announced he is comfortable using multiple pitchers in the closer role during the 2026 postseason. While Tanner Scott is projected to receive the bulk of the opportunities, Roberts noted the team will likely employ a closer-by-committee approach based on specific in-game matchups.
Along with Scott, Roberts identified Evan Phillips, Roki Sasaki, and Edwin Díaz as viable options to finish games. Scott served as the primary closer during the regular season, while Phillips and Díaz offer significant high-leverage experience, and Sasaki provides elite arm talent for the Dodgers' revamped bullpen.
