Hall of Famer Jim Thome has been watching the Chicago White Sox postseason games alongside team chairman Jerry Reinsdorf and former manager Tony La Russa. The group gathered in Reinsdorf's ballpark suite at Guaranteed Rate Field to watch Chicago's 6-3 Wild Card victory over the Houston Astros and a 3-0 Division Series Game 1 win against the Cleveland Guardians.
Thome, who currently serves as a special assistant to general manager Chris Getz, praised the team's strong clubhouse culture and bullpen performance. The White Sox have not trailed through their first three postseason matchups, holding the lead in 24 of their first 27 playoff innings.
