John Schriffen's contract with the White Sox is rumored to be up, and it appears the team has started looking for possible replacements to announce in 2027.

The Chicago White Sox and CHSN may move on from play-by-play announcer John Schriffen ahead of the 2027 season. According to Ryan Glasspiegel of Front Office Sports, Schriffen's contract has expired with no recent renewal talks taking place. Furthermore, CHSN CEO Mike McCarthy has reportedly put out feelers regarding potential replacements for the broadcaster, who has been in the booth since 2024.
While the White Sox stated they are currently focused entirely on their postseason run, candidates to replace Schriffen could include broadcast reporter Connor McKnight or Chicago Bulls announcer Adam Amin. The organization will be looking for a broadcast partner to pair alongside color commentator Steve Stone.
