The Flyers can breathe a sigh of relief.

Philadelphia Flyers defenseman Rasmus Ristolainen has joined the team on their three-game road trip despite suffering an apparent hand injury. The 31-year-old was injured while blocking a shot during Saturday's 3-2 overtime loss against the Carolina Hurricanes, managing just one shift in the third period before exiting. Social media footage later confirmed Ristolainen boarded the team flight to Tampa Bay.
Head coach Rick Tocchet had previously provided few details on Ristolainen's status after he missed Sunday's practice. However, Ristolainen was seen without casts, slings, or splints, and the Flyers opted against recalling an additional defenseman, leaving seven blue liners traveling for Monday's matchup against the Lightning.
