Canucks Insider Links Elias Pettersson To Eastern Conference Club

Vancouver Canucks insider Rick Dhaliwal reported that the Pittsburgh Penguins have a degree of interest in acquiring Swedish forward Elias Pettersson via trade. Despite persistent rumors, Dhaliwal noted that Pettersson has not been asked to waive his no-move clause, indicating that no deal is currently close between Vancouver and Pittsburgh.

Dhaliwal also dismissed speculation that the Canucks requested young player Ben Kindel in a potential permanent trade package. Ahead of the season, Pettersson expressed positive feelings about discussions regarding his future with new Canucks general manager Ryan Johnson.
