Mike Vrabel picked up a major penalty in the New England Patriots’ narrow win against the Buffalo Bills, and he addressed the situation with the official after the game.
New England Patriots head coach Mike Vrabel addressed receiving an unsportsmanlike conduct penalty during his team's 29-26 victory over the Buffalo Bills. With under two minutes left in the second quarter, Vrabel was flagged for cursing at an official regarding a defensive holding penalty on Marcus Jones. The penalty moved Buffalo to the 6-yard line, setting up a game-tying 2-yard rushing touchdown by Josh Allen.
Speaking after the game, Vrabel suggested the referee was "a little sensitive" to his reaction, noting he felt the underlying decision was poor. Vrabel acknowledged that he should not have sworn, offered an apology, and stated that he must perform better in such moments.
