Former Golden Knights forward Paul Cotter is off to the best three-game start of his NHL career, but Vegas still walked away with the win.

Former Vegas Golden Knights forward Paul Cotter is off to the best three-game start of his NHL career with the Vancouver Canucks, tallying five points across three games. Cotter scored a power-play goal against his former club on Sunday night, but the Golden Knights rallied to secure a 3-2 victory at Rogers Arena.
Vegas overcame Vancouver's leads with goals from Mitch Marner, Victor Olofsson, and Marc Gatcomb, while goaltender Adin Hill stopped 18 shots to seal the win. Cotter, who previously spent three seasons with Vegas before being traded in 2024, also scored the overtime winner in Vancouver's season opener against Edmonton.
