Wolverhampton Wanderers midfielder Fer Lopez has left the Spain Under-21 squad after suffering a minor injury issue during international duty. The 22-year-old played in Spain's fixture against Finland earlier in the break but was subsequently left out of the squad for their win against San Marino on Thursday.
Lopez has returned to England to undergo a medical assessment ahead of club action. He has been in strong form this season, scoring four goals in seven league appearances for Wolves before their upcoming match against Middlesbrough on Saturday.
