AFC Bournemouth are targeting Wolverhampton Wanderers midfielder Fer Lopez as a potential replacement for Alex Scott, according to a report from TeamTalk. Scott is expected to leave next summer and recently suffered a serious thigh injury while on international duty with England, prompting the Cherries to explore permanent transfer options.
Lopez has registered five goals and two assists in eight Championship starts for Wolves this season. Bournemouth previously monitored Lopez prior to his Wolves move, while Lorient's Arthur Avon and AZ Alkmaar's Kees Smit are also identified as potential targets.
