The former Test hooker was previously diagnosed with cystic fibrosis as a baby

Former Australia international hooker Nathan Charles has revealed he has been diagnosed with motor neurone disease (MND) at the age of 37. Charles, who earned four caps for the Wallabies after debuting in 2014, shared his diagnosis during an interview with Justin Harrison on Stan Sport after noticing a steady decline in his health over recent months.
The former Western Force, Gloucester, Bath, and Wasps player had previously overcome the odds after being diagnosed with cystic fibrosis as a child. Charles stated that MND has already begun impacting his daily life and mobility, but he aims to use his story to inspire others and find new purpose.
