JENNY SUGARMAN was left to reflect on missed opportunities after Wrexham’s terrific start to the Adran Premier season came to an end.
Wrexham head coach Jenny Sugarman lamented missed chances and individual defensive errors after her team suffered their first Adran Premier defeat of the season, falling 3-2 to rivals The New Saints. Despite creating numerous scoring opportunities at The Rock, the defending champions were unable to convert enough chances to protect their perfect start to the campaign.
Fiona Barry scored twice for The New Saints, including the decisive stoppage-time winner, while Lexie Harrison added a second-half goal for the visitors. Wrexham fought back from a two-goal deficit courtesy of a Jodie Bartle header and Natasha Thomas's stoppage-time equalizer before Barry sealed the victory.
