Wes Johnson, who was just recently extended, built the 2026 Georgia Bulldogs roster largely off transfers. Amidst a significant number of losses after last year, Johnson had to work that magic again, nearly reconstructing an entire roster from scratch.
Georgia Bulldogs head coach Wes Johnson has substantially rebuilt the baseball roster ahead of the 2026 fall season following heavy departures. The team lost almost all regular position players and key pitchers from the previous campaign. Key returning offensive players include junior Henry Allen, who hit .321 with over 10 home runs, alongside Cole Johnson and Jack Arcamone.
To replenish the squad, Georgia brought in multiple high-profile transfers across the pitching staff and offense. New mound additions include Jason Flores, Finn Edwards, Cristofer Cespedes, Riley Goodman, and Marcos Paz. Meanwhile, the offense added prominent transfers such as Mikey Bell, Jake Hanley, Nolan Stevens, Hunter Carns, and Casey McCoy.
