The Buffalo Sabres are working through some early-season growing pains, but one crucial player is off to the most promising start of his career in 2026-27.

Buffalo Sabres head coach Lindy Ruff praised winger Jack Quinn on WGR 550 Radio, stating the forward is getting rewarded for his hard work and improved skating. Quinn scored in each of Buffalo's first two games of the season against the Columbus Blue Jackets and Chicago Blackhawks, generating a team-high nine shots on goal.
The 25-year-old forward is entering the final year of his contract before becoming a restricted free agent alongside teammates Jiri Kulich and Colten Ellis. Writer Tim Daniels notes that Quinn's strong performance could drive up his next contract value under general manager Jarmo Kekalainen.
