Manchester United icon Patrice Evra has taken to Instagram to pay an emotional tribute to his mum as he confirmed her tragic passing.

Former Manchester United defender Patrice Evra has paid an emotional tribute to his late mother following her death. Evra confirmed her passing in an Instagram video, sharing that she had been suffering from Alzheimer's disease. Calling her his "rock," he sang the Sexion D’Assaut song "Avant qu’elle parte" and urged his followers to cherish and express love to their mothers.
Evra also previously revealed a unique personal tribute, explaining that he often went without a shoe on his left foot in videos to honor his mother after she lost her left leg in 2010. The former France international made 379 appearances for Manchester United between 2006 and 2014.
