The star five-eighth will focus on the World Cup.

Contract extension talks between Cameron Munster and the Melbourne Storm have stalled after the club presented an offer that fell below expectations. The Storm reportedly offered the 32-year-old five-eighth a two-year deal worth approximately $750,000 per season, which represents a $350,000 pay cut from his current $1.1 million annual salary. Consequently, Munster's management has confirmed that he will test the open market starting November 1.
Munster's new agent, Justin Caines, argued that his client should not accept a pay reduction given impending salary cap increases and Munster's ongoing representative status. Management remains open to revisiting discussions with the PNG Chiefs alongside other prospective clubs as Munster turns his immediate attention to playing for Australia in the World Cup.
